Here we come Greece!

The big day may have come and gone,. We left April 16, 2025 to walk in the foot prints of Paul.. But keep in touch as we’re always following God to something new and exciting.

Follow us on facebook as we post from Greece.

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Philippians 4:3, The Apostle Paul

Following in the footprints of Paul

April 16 - 26, 2025

The Apostle Paul is by far, the most influential disciple of Jesus the Christ His writings are the crown of Christian writings. His epistles have had enormous influence on Christian theology and doctrine. As we meditate on Paul's teaching on the relationship between the Father God and Jesus, and dive into the privilege of our human relationship with the divine, we will soak in the blessings of standing where he stood, singing where he sang, and preaching where he preached.

The Apostle Paul visited Corinth (pictured above). Just think, at the foothills of this Corinthian Acropolis, he lived, and worked as a tent maker and taught the word of God for 18 months.(Acts 18:11-12) .We will visit the ruins of the ancient cities like Corinth, walking where he walked, eating where he ate, praying where he prayed, and studying where he wrote.

Traveling Greece allows us to experience the very ground that supported the mission God gave Paul. Our trip will help you gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for God’s plan.. The Bible is essential for discipleship and spiritual growth. With a first hand experience of the places Paul traveled, your own personal curiosity, and exponential spiritual growth from exposure, we can be refreshed and ignited for ministry in the places we are called.  Come on, let’s go, grow, and glow together.

54321 Packing List for Greece

Travel Light for your sanity

Do you normally over pack?  The 54321 packing method can help you avoid overpacking.  Even if you do not follow it strictly, it helps.  You dress to fly.  Dress to return. That leaves 9 days of dressing.  Try the 50% track, everything gets worn twice. The climate in Greece will be cool mornings, warm mid days, hot afternoons, cool nights.  This list is an attempt to help you keep packing sensible and light.

  • Five: Tops, dry weave or DRI FIT is best, light fabrics that wash and wear
  • Four: Bottoms, JEANS, NOT recommended; light fabrics that wash and wear
  • Three: Accessories, brim hat, sunglasses, light jacket with UV sun control fabric
  • Two: Pairs of walking-shoes, Flip flops NOT recommended for walking due to uneven surfaces, and cobble stone, and dirt walkways
  • One: Bag of Camera/Phone setup gear

Of course, you need a passport, toiletries, socks, underwear, and one swimsuit and water shoes. The 54321 hack method helps you minimize the place we tend to overpack - clothing. Bring flexible lightweight clothing you can mix, match and wash for drying overnight.

questions and answers Hub

Here are some questions that have been asked that are not in the brochure.

GREECE CRUISE LINE

What is the cruise line's name?   Celestyal Cruises

RoomMates

If you don't have a roommate, other solo passengers have met and signed up with other solo travelers. It's not guaranteed, but the possibly does exist - ask me.

Luggage

The medium size luggage is good for your 5-4-3-2-1 packing.  But you may need a bag for your shopping results.  It's all relative to you and your personal needs  We will pack and move hotels several times, so keep it easy and convenient for your own tracking.

Travel acessories

1.  Folding sitting stools are a great investment for travel walking tours. Find them on Amazon as well.

Adjustable Folding 2 in 1 Walking Stick Tripod - @ TEMU

2. Travel pillows and rain jackets are almost a must.

Exchange of Cash

It's my personal preference to wait until I arrive in the destination country. The exchange rates are most often better in the country you arrive in.  The euro is the legal tender in Greece, and has been since the drachma was phased out in 2002.

By Invitation

Yes, your friends are invited. to preview and register for this tour.  Share the links..

Meeting September 15

We talked about food, eating, and snacks. Each day we will have breakfast and dinner on the ship or at the hotel.  Lunch will be something you get while you are out and about.

What is a typical Greek breakfast?

It's a must.  Our days will be moving. You will want fuel. You need to eat breakfast and grab some fruit or crackers to go.  The buffets will have Greek pies, buns, rusks, honey, jams, eggs, olives, feta and cheese, legumes, and pastries. Fresh, tasty fruits, juices, and coffee, eggs? Canadian style bacon.

What's for Lunch?

It's on you!  Grab a snack from your bag, or buy something out while we are on excursions. Brunswick Tuna Salad & Chicken Salad With Crackers Ready to Eat Snack Kits 3.0 oz make good on the go snack boxes. Your individual wrapped candy and mints are great pleasers on-the-go!

What is a typical meal in Greece?

A typical Greek meal includes one or two appetizers, a slice of freshly-baked bread, the main meal, a glass of the alcohol or soft drink of your choice, and dessert for the end. When you hear about the Greeks living the good life and knowing their food, the rumors are true-mors!

Check out some local Greek Restaurants:

The most popular street snack in Greece, apart from souvlaki, is koulouri. Koulouri can be found all around the eastern part of the Mediterranean. The traditional koulouri in Greece is a thin circular bread with lots of sesame seeds covering it. It is hands down the favorite breakfast option for Greeks, along with a cup of Greek coffee, maybe at breakfast, not Starbucks?

Try these in Denver...

1. CAVA (my favorite fast stop)  2. Yannis  3. Cretans  4. Gyroz  5. Renzios Greek Food
